Feel the Organic warmth of the unglazed pottery
This "& Kalita" series's beautiful Hasami porcelain range has been capturing the hearts of many. Following their beautiful previous Kalita & Hasami series (Wave/HA dripper), Kalita now introduces a special, warm-colored dripper using a blend of "Sagan (sandstone in Japanese)" and Hasamiyaki's signature Amakusa Touseki potter's stone.
This incredibly simple and natural dripper conveys an organic joy of connecting with earth and nature. The matt, natural aesthetics and texture reminds us of the pleasant feeling of being our natural self.
*This dripper is not glazed, so please rinse it with water and clean with a soft sponge after use.
Collaboration by the masters of Hasamiyaki and Kalita
We're proud to offer the Kalita Hasami Dripper, a fine work of collaboration between Kalita and Hasamiyaki.
This wonderful dripper is made using the Hasamiyaki – meaning Hasami porcelain – method, a traditional porcelain crafting method that originates four centuries ago in the Hasami town, Nagasaki prefecture. Hasamiyaki uses Amakusa Touseki, a potter's stone from Amakusa, Kumamoto. This SG "Sagan (Sandstone in Japanese)" dripper blends warm-colored sandstone and Amakusa Touseki potter's stone to create this beautifully natural dripper.
This collaboration between Kalita and Hasamiyaki has allowed the creation of a porcelain that is both slim and sturdy, a perfect merging of light weight and lasting durability. Each is handcrafted by experienced artisans, and the level of craftsmanship is exhibited by its quality.
The Kalita Hasami Dripper maintains the Kalita tradition of design, and this time-tested, signature design ensures that Kalita's products always yield an extraordinary brew.
The Hasami Dripper's design also allows it to sit sturdily on any server or mug. The bottom of the dripper is crafted with a beautifully-rendered outline of the Kalita logo and the “Made in Japan” seal.
